Bonding with Obama

Posted on Nov 3rd, 2008 by Sherrilene : Living Ever Closer to Excellence! Sherrilene
I spent this past weekend bonding with the beautiful energy of Mr. Barack Obama.

As an outside observer to the Presidential election campaign,  I had consciously decided to not 'engage' because of my knowledge of how fickle we people can be, and that the great enthusiasm that might have been showing say, early in the year, for Mr. Obama, might very well have passed by this time. And so I wanted to see how the world would look as the date approached.

I still don't believe that the U.S. elections this time around are going to ripple across the world with its usual effects since the States has unfortunately broken many ties with other countries over the years and probably has to pay some attention to getting itself in order now. But symbolically, an Obama Presidential victory will signify a great change in the world at large. And this is something I've been waiting somewhat impatiently for. :)

For some very good reason, I did not have internet nor telephone access this past weekend. I had cable TV; something which I NEVER watch!

And this weekend at every turn, I took opportunities to tune in and hear Mr. Obama speak... and I found a kindred spirit, to say the very least...

I see now that his gran has passed at a very significant time, but as my own experiences have told me, these events often occur to usher in something new and wonderful. That soul energy has moved on but is certain to refresh Mr. Obama in the end, since the certainty that his grandmother and matriarch is no longer in pain will have relevance to him, knowing the man that he is [which, very very strangely, I feel I do!]

I merge my loving and most peaceful energy with that of Mr. Obama, his beautiful family, and all of the people in the world that he is consciously or unconsciously representing. I see no agenda of self-service, nor do I believe these petty attacks from his opponents are deserving. I do hope that the American people can truly recognise Quality when they see it... and then go out and endorse it.

For the sake of my family and my friends here on GAIA in the States, I pray for nothing but success for Mr. Obama and all he stands for. The world awaits a new America with a baited breath.

Love to all my friends, everywhere.

He has taken Mankind out of a dangerous environment and we can now look around and find things that are not threatening over and over.  Blessings and heavenly light to Obama.

I saw Barack Obama as president two years ago when I First posted about him.
Indeed he embodies symbolism of change.

As an advisor for the Clintons once said, however:

The poetry of campaigning will have to make place for prose of politics.

So leading figures from all over the world and the constellations of most diverse progressive and proceeding people can give him support.

And not only giving support but initiating their own work, ideas and change projects.

This change itself is the challenge.

I am totally supporting Barack from here, from Europe.

Both thumbs up! Towards the victory,

Albert

I just got back from the polls and was sixth in line in our town.  A poll worker told us that voter registration went from 18,000 to 24,000 since the last election!  This election is very important to me because of what Obama stands for.  I read both of his books before he was running for president and knew even then deep in my heart that here is a very special man.  A visionary for sure.  I'm full of hope today.

I'm praying Obama wins but a little nervous of the “vote counters” in Florida as well as the whole electoral college system.

Wow! Love the comments!

I have been quite concerned about the Florida thing and the electoral college thing myself; but then again I had been concerned about biased media coverage also and Obama used brains and spiritual intellect and found away around that by buying ad space at a critical time! So it seems as if anything is possible in getting around this convoluted sytem and still winning.

American reactionary fearfulness is still entrenched in the southern and land locked midwest states. Yet, even there, Obama is drawing on the Deep Spirit and the long awaited 'movement' to embrace Deep Spirit may begin today (or may not).

But symbolically, an Obama Presidential victory will signify a great change in the world at large. And this is something I've been waiting somewhat impatiently for.

I agree 100%. The world waits for America to come to its senses. Because if it doesn't, the world will suffer accordingly, just as it has suffered for the past 8 yrs.

I would envison an Obama administration as a 'movement' and not just a government. However, America needs its congress to support the movement and that's why a democratic majority in congress is as crucial (even more crucial if McCain wins) than an Obama administration.

I've commited my ballot to the movement. Now we wait and see.

I am SOOOO HAPPY!!! I called my sister in the States as soon as the win was confirmed. Gosh! The relief in her voice!! My sister's family is a mixture of black and white and has always been very open, which includes to discrimination. So this event has so much special significance for them! Yes, definitely, to a new world!

While walking home I saw a shooting star. THAT is a great sign for me! I am LOVING this night!

Be blessed, loving people of the world!!

Hope is enough for me today; it was so dismal for a long time! No-one in leadership would step up for the job at hand, to rally the best in the people with sincerity. This is a true TRUE hero for the cause of peace. I am HAPPY!!

Love always, Sherri

What a great blog, and it shows the unity of the world in its vision of our new leader. We are the ones we have been waiting for and Barack can lead the change…what a wonderful man he is. A visionary.

We all appreciate your thoughts on this, and Alberts and Anna's because as voices from the “world” we all get affirmation that the paradigm shift has occurred!

Big love to all….and big blessings to our new President!

Love and hugs

I am HAPPY, too!!
The last time I can remember feeling like this was when I was 12 years old and Apollo 11 landed on the moon.  My sister, parents and I were visiting my grandparents and we were all together, eyes glued to the TV.  My grandmother filled me with wonder as she predicted that someday I would be telling my own grandchildren about this amazing moment in history.  I feel the shift now, too.  Maya Angelou said it looks like America is finally growing up.  And as Neil Armstrong felt his small step was making a giant leap for mankind, I think by electing Barack Obama, America has taken a step which will start to make things better for us and for the world.  Obama knows we are all citizens of this little blue planet, linked together and to Gaia.  I cannot wait to see what happens next!

Aley, Samme, Barbara, lovely to hear from you!

This 'connection' finally feels complete, yes. I think we all know it at the subconscious level but the constant references to 'America, the greatest country in the world' and 'Fight 'them'…' etc. did create confusion about whether America was trying to integrate globally, really…

It seems as if the people that voted for Obama also voted for a reduction in the separation actions, like we really can share in the new paths wherever they will take all of us. At last, it doesn't seem as if we have to go contra each other in order to move forward. This makes me very happy :)

Continuing to send those positive energies in your direction!

Sincerely, Sherrilene
