Laughing Yoga?? Yeh, with the dogs

My friend Mary Rives [maryrives.gaia.com] and her husband Keith have a lovely establishment named Laugher Incorporated and knowing my friend Mary, it is surely a fantastic place to go and just let it all out!
There, they feature Laughter Yoga, a concept that I am certain must be the solution to many of the world's problems in itself!
Well, given that I haven't yet had the opportunity to visit Mary and Keith and have a great session with them, I have been doing my own home yoga sessions and enjoying them immensely. It used to be strictly for the exercise benefits, the quiet mind outcomes etc.
Well, the benefits have just gone up even more, with the addition of my dogs to the mix, and the accompanying laughter!
You see, the dogs don't quite 'get' why their human is down there on the ground with them unless she must be coming to roll around with them! And so they insist on joining in and doing the stretches, ideally across me and under me, but not quite ever at their end of the carpet! When I'm too far out of reach, they just fill the time doing dog play things under my feet, nibbling at my toes etc.
What was most funny was their insistence on licking the perspiration off my forehead and neck and then lying prostrate at the end when I was in my resting pose, as if they were cooling down as well!
I have to admit, it was nice to realise that I could concentrate quite satisfactorily despite their obvious interference [which is something I couldn't say I have mastered in the presence of some humans]. I don't have the desire to banish the dogs to the outdoors for any of my regular activities because they do bring such clean energy to my home, so it was very pleasant that they gave me a good laugh as well. That made it quite worthwhile - indeed value added! - to have them stick around.
I actually think the activity wore them out. They got 'knocked out' promptly and fell asleep on the carpet almost immediately after I was done.
Never underestimate the energy expended from a yoga session!
Wishing everyone a great day! I know mine has been started on a fantastic note!
Best, always,

Post Yoga Pups

Help

Delightful! :)
Nothing like yoga with dogs, eh?
Dogs respond to energy very interestingly! I see them calm down immediately when I do Reiki sessions, even when it's not on them, but on their human. And I feel them lending their healing.
I'd love to laughter yoga with them though. The best healing!
Hey!
Meenakshi I recently had a luxurious massage while I was on Mayne Island [from one of the participants at our workshop on talents actually] and she had the most beautiful little dog who I gather can bark up a storm, but he falls asleep like a rock when his human is conducting her sessions lol The pup had a beautiful, warm, loving energy. I gather that the presence of dogs can lower your blood pressure as well. I must say the two of mine combine for a very loving and fun energy. I suppose I contribute to that since I set the tone somewhat, but they flow right into it contentedly. I'm having a good time with my pets!
See you again soon. Take care,
Sherrilene
They do the best downward facing dog pose… every morning when they wake up or when they consider necessary to have a stretch… they do yoga by instinct… we, again, just learning to walk and breathe :))) Lovely blog Sherri… and your babies are so lovely… They had a difficult life, they said… but they are happy now… Blessed be your heart :)
Lovely blog, Sherri and I will definitely check on your friends too. This reminds me of when you inspired me to start my yoga practice before my holiday and my cat Tom licked my face whilst I was doing it… great animal's minds meet.
I have recently read that animals don't need to reincarnate because they do not create Karma and their souls are more perfect than ours… food for thought really.
